2012:
January:
Things have started off great with the new year bringing in an interview published in Juggle Magazine. It is the first issue of the new ezine format, and it was fantastic to be included in the very first of this new media. Here is a link to the article.

Come March, Smirk will be performing in Cirque De La Loon. This is a production written and directed by Smirks amazing director Lloyd Brandt. We will be spending 6 wonderful weeks in Minneapolis MN. It happens to be a hot bed of great juggling clubs, circus progams, and a large cadre of professional variety performers.
We will be sure to update this page as fun news comes by.
2011:
This was a great year for Smirk. Many new ideas and techniqes were worked on and put to the test. In an effort to compete in the IJA Juggling Championships, we wanted to go back to what we know, and decided to bring back our modified 3 club juggling piece, which has become the greatest staple of our work. We then trained and drilled new 6 club patterns that showed both our technical abilities, as well as some fun comedy. Our competition was steep, and were on the cutting edge modern technique. Warren and I were certain, that our performance was what set us apart, and allowed us to bring home our second Silver Medal.
Smirk headlined the Mondo Jugging Festival in MN, and were MC's for the Portland Juggling Festival. These are both top notch festivals, and are fantastic to be a part of. I highly recommend anyone serious about juggling to get out to both.
St Patricks day was another fun time. In an effort to perform something different, we took some of our pieces, and created Drunk Smirk, with Warren his usual technical dynamo, but with a partner who apparently had been enjoying his libations a bit to often. This was created for Lannie's Clock Towers Halloween Burleque Show, and was the first time Smirk has come close to crossing over into a bit of Boylesque.
Halloween again gave us an opportuntiy to play with something completely out of our normal show. We created a rendition of Frankenstein. Warren was the mad scientist(not a big stretch), and Reid was the loud obnoxious monster(even less of a stretch). It was one of our first pieces in which we did almost no juggling. We hope to perform that one again sometime soon.
These were just a few of our Highlights of 2011. We are exited to see what 2012 brings.
